Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
PoolRoutine is built to need as little of your information as possible. There are no accounts and no passwords: your routine is identified by a private link, and email is entirely optional. This page states plainly what we collect, where it lives, and what we never do.
What we collect
- Your equipment selections. The filter, sanitizer, heater, and hot tub you tell the wizard you own — including anything you type in the “not listed” box.
- Your configuration. Whether you close the pool for winter and, if so, your opening and closing months.
- Your time zone. Detected from your browser so reminders land at a sensible local time. You are never asked for it.
- Your email address — only if you choose to add reminders. It is collected through double opt-in: we email you a confirmation link, and nothing is sent to you unless you click it. You can build and use a routine without ever giving us an email address.
Where it is stored, and who sends your email
Your routine is stored in a database we operate on Supabase. When you opt in to reminders, we send email through Brevo, which processes your address only to deliver those messages. We do not share your information with anyone else.
Your routine link and calendar feed are private
Your routine page and its calendar (.ics) feed are reached through a private token in the URL — a long, unguessable string. Treat that link like a key: anyone who has it can see the routine. We never list it publicly, and search engines are asked not to index it. Keep it to yourself and it stays yours.
What we do not do
- No analytics, no tracking. We run no analytics tools and no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. We do not build a profile of you and do not follow you across other sites.
- No tracking cookies — effectively none at all. The site has no login and no session, so ordinary browsing sets no cookies. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. It is used only to build and deliver your maintenance routine.
Deleting your information
Email hello@poolroutine.com and ask us to delete your routine, and we will remove it — the schedule, your equipment selections, and any email address on file. Because your routine is identified by its private link, including that link helps us find and remove exactly the right record.
