Open the pool for the season
Before you take the cover off Get the debris off the top of the cover first. Everything you skip here ends up in the water. ## Putting it back together 1. Refit the drain cap on the filter tank — it was left off over winter on purpose. 2. Return the multiport valve to a normal position if you left it between settings. 3. Reinstall drain plugs in the pump and heater. 4. Refill to the middle of the skimmer opening. 5. Prime and start the pump, then check every fitting you touched for leaks. 6. Note the clean starting pressure on the gauge once flow settles. Your whole season of pressure checks is measured against that number. ## Then the water Run the filter continuously until the water clears, and get it tested before anyone swims.
