Replace the CLEARRAY UV bulb
Nothing visible tells you it is spent
The CLEARRAY® UV bulb keeps working invisibly and then simply stops sanitising. On the J-300 it is standard (unless you ordered True Water Care instead), and Jacuzzi says the bulb must be replaced after one year — the control panel will post a message when the timer expires.
What to do
- Turn power to the spa off at the breaker.
- Replace the UV bulb, and clean the quartz tube while you are in there — Jacuzzi calls for the quartz tube to be cleaned every 12 months too.
- Reset the bulb timer so the next reminder lands a year out.
UV supplements your sanitiser; it does not replace it. Keep testing and keep a proper residual.

Replace all 2 Jacuzzi pleated filter cartridge (J-300)s — this model takes 2. every 2 years.
