Replace the ProClarity and ProClear II cartridges

The pleated cartridges have a real replacement date Your J-400 uses two pleated cartridges — the ProClarity™ primary and the ProClear™ II skimming cartridge. Jacuzzi says to clean each one monthly and replace both every 18 months. ## Monthly, between replacements Rinse the pleats with a garden hose, working top to bottom, one section at a time. The ProClarity filter canister can be rinsed at the same time. The primary cartridge goes back on the side closest to the front of the spa. ## At 18 months Replace both pleated cartridges — sooner if the pleats are permanently flattened, the fibres are shredding, or an end cap is cracked. A tired cartridge passes debris straight through no matter how clean it looks. ## While you are in there Check and empty the ProClarity debris bag monthly, and remember the separate ProClarity Depth filter is on its own 3-month replacement — do not wash either of those two.
